Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo)

Required for January 2022

Hours: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Main Scale / Upper Pay Scale + SEN Allowance

 

We are looking for an inspiring SENCo who is passionate about inclusive education and high standards for all pupils to join our hardworking, dedicated and welcoming team.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an outstanding practitioner
  • Is innovative and inspirational
  • Has a sound knowledge of the SEND code of practice
  • Has excellent people skills and the ability to lead, motivate and support children and colleagues
  • Can work effectively with all stakeholders, particularly parents
  • Is IT confident (familiarity with Google documents is preferable)
  • Is a strong communicator and can deliver training, mentoring and coaching
  • Holds QTS and works to high professional standards at all times

 

You will either need to hold the National Award for Special Educational Needs (SEN) Coordination (mandatory qualification), be working towards it or committed to starting this immediately.

The successful applicant will have to meet the requirements of the person specification and will be subject to pre-employment checks, including a health check, an enhanced criminal record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and satisfactory references, before appointment is confirmed. 

Midday Supervisor

Required as soon as possible

Hours: 7.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday 12:00pm - 1:30pm) term time only

Salary: NJC Scale Points 1 - 3 (£9.25 - £9.62 per hour)

 

We are looking for a committed, caring and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our hard working lunchtime team and work with our children during lunchtime.

Duties include:

  • Supervising children whilst they eat lunch
  • Promoting positive playtimes and ensuring productive lunchtime activities for all our children
  • Assisting with ancillary duties, such as cleaning up spillages, wiping tables etc.
  • Supervising and engaging with children whilst they play
  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of all our children

 

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for supporting children and empathy for their needs
  • The ability to work as part of a team and to use their own initiative
  • A positive attitude and a sense of humour
  • A professional approach

School tours for children due to start school in Sept 2022 will be held on Wed 6 Oct 10am, Mon 11 Oct 4pm, Thur 21 Oct 10am, Thur 4 Nov 4pm, Wed 10 Nov 10am, Wed 17 Nov 10am and Thur 25 Nov 10am. Please contact us on 01525 713625 to book your place on a tour.
