At Templefield Lower School we take full advantage of our wonderfully light, bright and airy classrooms and extensive school grounds. Our early years indoor and outdoor areas and KS1 and KS2 classrooms are set up to encourage children to develop their own learning through exciting and stimulating activities across all areas of the curriculum. All children enjoy a weekly visit to our newly refurbished library where our librarian will help the younger children choose a suitable book from our large selection of exciting and engaging books. Our spacious hall is used for whole school assemblies, themed activity workshops, PE and for our Christmas and end of year productions. Our large selection of extra curricular sports based clubs such as tennis, football, street dance and cricket are also held in the hall during the winter months.
Within our extensive grounds there is a large sports field and forest school area as well as a wildlife garden with a fruit tree and a vegetable patch for the children to tend. We have a fabulous bespoke rustic playground with an exciting dinosaur nest climber and climbing wall which sits on porous safety surfacing, so can be used all year round. On drier days our 4 tower climbing frame, complete with fireman's pole, scramble net and birds nest swing give children an alternative venue for imaginative play.
